How can coaching help you make the rest of your life, the best of your life?

Do you vibe with…

  • Feeling overwhelmed, fatigued, stressed…
  • Experiencing poor sleep, fuzzy thinking, digestive problems..
  • Yearning for more energy and vitality..
  • Worrying about weight gain and fruitless attempts to lose it..
  • Disheartened by ‘diets’ that only ‘work’ for a while..
  • Having no idea of what to eat, where to shop, what to cook..
  • Going round and round in circles trying to fix everything, everybody, including you..
  • Feeling like you’re losing the plot…
  • Wanting to stop the clock…
  • Just. Wanting. To. Stop.

I believe that energy, vitality, health and happiness is everybody’s birth-right and I KNOW that, with food & lifestyle changes, health can be reclaimed at any age.

building-the-new-quoteKnowing which changes to make for the best, and how to do things differently can be difficult, even uncomfortable… and that’s where coaching support can really make a difference.

Although we like to see ourselves as sophisticated creatures, we’re actually creatures of habit & we’re very comfortable in a predictable environment.  It’s easy to ‘keep on keeping on’ doing the same things, particularly when we’re not firing on all cylinders, even if we know they’re not serving us.

Yes, change is hard, but small, step-wise changes are do-able and sustainable and they soon add up to big pay-offs.  No-one can transform ourselves overnight; what’s important is that we step forward and keep on stepping…

If you can’t fly then run, if you can’t run then walk, if you can’t walk then crawl, but whatever you do, you have to keep moving forward.”  (Martin Luther King Jr.)

Coaching support can make the difference between wishing life to be better and creating the healthy habits that make life better.

Women matter…

Women really matter.  In our roles as Queen, Mother, Wise Woman, Lover, we are all things to all people   We hold our partner, our children, our family, our community and the world in the palm of our caring hand. And it’s a heavy responsibility.

At the Vancouver Peace summit in 2009, the Dalai Lama said something that rocked the globe when he opined:

“The world will be saved by the Western woman.”

Fazle Hasan Abed, whose organization, BRAC (with an annual budget in excess of $1 billion) delivers education, health care and microfinance to millions of people in Asia and Africa. BRAC has given $6 billion in small loans to women.  Abed believes that women are the key to solving some of its most pressing challenges.

“Girls and women represent the greatest untapped resources of the developing world

That’s quite some plate to step up to!

But, when fatigue and the feeling we need to do more, be more and care more overwhelms us and we haven’t made room to hold ourselves in the palm of that hand, our ability to hold everything else together suffers.  And so does our health and happiness.  Does this makes sense?

Yes, women matter – because if not us, then who??

But you are unique…

No ‘one-size’ fits all, each one of us is different.

We’re not just the product of what we eat – we’re much, much more than a highly evolved ‘eating machine’ that only needs to eat ‘healthy to be healthy’.  If only it were that simple!

And quick fixes don’t work…

However attractive it seems, we all know that ‘quick fixes’ don’t work; they leave us trapped in a cage where the wheel of life goes around and round and round… but nothing changes. And just as it can take years to ‘break’ us, it takes time to mend us.

You need to commit…

“If we always do what we’ve always done, we’ll always get what we’ve always got.”

Anthony Robbins and before him Albert Einstein, Henry Ford, and even Mark Twain have all been credited with uttering this profound, but obvious wisdom, but what matters is the point it makes:

We can consciously commit to creating a future that gives us the chance to live the best life we can. Or, we can remain passive participants in a future that just ‘happens’ to us and live a life we haven’t consciously chosen.

How easy is to just keep on keeping on… and living to regret the wasted potential?

And you need to ACT!

baby-steps-move-mountains “If it is to be, it’s up to me”

This is a simple, but profound wisdom.  If we want something badly enough to commit to it, it’s up to US to take responsibility, take charge, and stop waiting for someone else to do the job.

The fact is, it‘s going to be you who makes the decision to make the changes that bring energy, vitality and health and it’s up to you to take the first step, however small, and walk consistently towards those goals.

How we’ll work…

We’ll start by putting a WHOLE YOU at the centre of the complex and interconnected web that is your WHOLE LIFE and we’ll start walking.

I believe that food is our first and our best medicine, but it’s absolutely and by no means our only medicine! No amount of perfect-for-you, nutritious healing foods will mend a broken lifestyle, or mitigate the impact of a toxic environment.

So I’ll help you become much more aware of how a strong metabolism is the key to your health and how restorative sleep, managing stress, taking regular breaks in nature to moving your body, fostering inner connectedness and supporting relationships are critical to a truly ‘whole’ and healthy you.

We’ll work together,  to help you to make the changes that matter and create the healthy daily habits that will support your unique constitution and ultimately restore your energy, vitality and true health.

With support, you can ditch the overwhelm, the fatigue and the ‘worn-out’ treadmill and make the rest of your life, the best of your life!

Choosing a Coach (or a Client).

When choosing a teacher, a coach or a mentor,  knowledge, experience, and empathy are important prerequisites.  It might sound a little strange, but in choosing a client, a good coach has some prerequisites too – like courage, commitment, willingness to take action and determination.

Do Our Vibes Jive?

But probably the most important thing in a successful coach-client relationship is ‘a good fit’. What’s our first impression – our gut feeling?  Do we ‘connect’?  Do we ‘get’ each other?  Do we ‘gel’.  If the vibe doesn’t jive, then neither party will enjoy or benefit from the relationship.
