Immune Support #1 is wild garlic or ramson. Wild garlic is a traditional harbinger of Spring and is now in season. No better time than now to get yourself outdoors and into Mother Nature’s woods, shady areas and damp places – search online for where you can find it near you.

Ramsons contain allicin, so are anti-septic, anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, and anti-inflammatory and noted for defeating coughs, colds and other ailments. Wild garlic paste couldn’t be simpler to make and immersing yourself in the fresh air and encountering all those healthful microbes to forage, gather and preserve wild garlic is a self-care and mindful living health benefit all in itself.

WILD GARLIC PASTE

1. Blitz 100g clean wild garlic leaves with enough good quality organic olive oil (2-4 tablespoons) to make a stiffish paste.

2. Pack tightly into a sterilised glass jar and top up with olive oil – ensure the surface is completely covered.

3. Store in the fridge and top with a little olive oil after each use.

4. Made in bulk, the garlic paste will keep for several months.

Add teaspoons to soups, casseroles, sauces, pesto, omelettes, quiches, anything potato (yum!), rice dishes, pasta dishes, butters for fish/grilled meats/steamed veggies, salad dressings.
