Immune Support #6: Eat real food! Do you think our grannies would have recognised the packet, convenience and takeout ‘foods’ that we have come to rely on today – highly processed, calorie-rich but nutritionally empty ‘fillers’? No, indeed they wouldn’t… and our bodies don’t recognise them either!

As we’ve seen throughout this series, maintaining optimal gut health and reducing inflammation are both critical in building resilience – and our quickest win by far is to transition to REAL food, whole, fresh, and wherever possible, organic foods.

Real foods are much more than fillers – they’re critical nutrition and health information-carrying molecules, telling every single cell how and when to grow, switch on and switch off to make the flesh and bone of our body.

Immune support and deep nutrition with real foods:

  • 100% grass-fed and organ meats liver and bone broths
  • animal products like eggs, milk, cheese
  • wild-caught fish
  • fats like butter and lard
  • olive and coconut oils
  • a wide variety of organic or cleanly grown colourful fruits and vegetables
  • properly prepared grains, legumes and beans
