Dr Rebecca Lewis, MBBS FRCA DRCOG MRCGP, Newson Health Menopause & Wellbeing Centre
Rebecca qualified from Guy’s Medical School in London in 1991 and initially pursued a career in Anaesthetics, obtaining FRCA in 1997. She then changed speciality and became a GP gaining MRCGP in 2000. She continues to practise as a GP and has developed an interest in the menopause, giving lectures and writing articles on the subject. She is determined to improve the understanding of the menopause in current and future generations through education and access to accurate evidence based medical information. She is passionate about making the menopause a much more positive experience and enabling women to get back to feeling themselves again.
Izabella Natrins BSc PSYCH Dip NLC (IHS) FNTP
A former health research psychologist, Izabella is a qualified Nutrition and Lifestyle Medicine Health Coach, Certified Digestive Health Practitioner, a Nutritional Chef, author and speaker. Inspired by her training at the renowned, organic Ballymaloe Cookery School in Ireland, Izabella is passionate about real, whole food - from soil to plate - to restore energy, vitality and create true health. She founded the health education website IzabellaNatrins.Com to promote better nutrition, resilient health and holistic well- being and is the author Once Upon a Cook – Food Wisdom, Better Living a call to action to inform and inspire people to become more conscious consumers, understand where their food comes from and how it’s produced, and by make better choices to source and cook healthy, real food affordably.
Lucy Holtom, Living Your Yoga
Lucy has been practicing Yoga for over 25 years, in different parts of the world, influenced by numerous inspirational teachers. Teachings include: Hatha & Ashtanga Yoga, Pregnancy Yoga, Yoga Nidra and Yoga for Women’s Health. Lucy completed her 2-year Yoga Teacher Training at The Devon School of Yoga, then she went on to train in Pregnancy Yoga and Well-Woman Yoga Therapy with Uma Dinsmore-Tuli at YogaCampus.
Since teaching Well-Woman Yoga, and working alongside Menopause expert Dr Louise Newson, Lucy continues to explore how different yogic practices can support Women’s Health. Practices that are regularly taught include Pranayama (Breathing Practices) to help manage symptoms such as insomnia, anxiety, exhaustion and mood swings; Yoga Asana & Pawanmuktasana (Physical Movement & Joint Rotations) to alleviate stiffness in the joints and encourage flexibility throughout the whole of the body; and Yoga Nidra (Deep Relaxation) for deep healing and release. Every session is designed to nurture, nourish and restore vitality.
