This is Sue’s Story…
‘Six years ago I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I had a lumpectomy, some lymph nodes removed and radiotherapy. After five years, when I came off the cancer medication my body seemed to go into shock – it didn’t know which way was up! I felt truly dreadful and I realised I needed to do something for myself and, fortunately, I was introduced to a few people who have changed my life.
Through working with a naturopathic practitioner and then a ‘laughter’ coach, I met Isabel and then Kirsty. With their help and encouragement, I’ve learned that what I think, say, do and particularly what I eat, every day makes a huge difference to how I feel. I feel so much better.
With their support, I’ve learned to recognise that when I eat differently (eating out for example) for a period of time my body responds by feeling tired, lethargic and I soon feel out-of-sorts. I don’t love that feeling and know without a doubt that cooking from scratch is my best medicine!’’.

‘I have a lot more energy and feel much less tired and much less stressed. My sleep pattern is a lot better. My skin is a lot clearer and glows, my nails are stronger and my hair has stopped breaking off. I’ve also been able to get off statin medication and now I’m slowly experimenting with not taking blood pressure tablets – I feel great!

We asked Sue what she liked most about the Six Month Reset Package…
‘The accountability – I had to stick to the programme! Isabel and Kirsty didn’t let me off the hook (in fact I could often hear Isabel’s voice in my head!). The regular Skype calls kept me on the straight and narrow.
Keeping the Food Diary was really helpful (although at times I was a bit lax) and I became more aware of my food choices; the programme helped me to understand what my body will tolerate, what it won’t – and why! For example, when I went away on holiday, I tried to make food choices based on what I’d learned. But even so, sometimes I found I just couldn’t eat what my body knew to refuse.
And the menu suggestions, the shopping lists and where to buy ingredients (like on-line from Ocado, local farms shops and so on), and all the lovely recipes were priceless. I’m a good cook, but being able to talk to Isabel and Kirsty about alternative ways of making the things I love (like replacing processed mayonnaise with home-made, or with a really fresh tasting yoghurt-based mayo) was great.
When we asked Sue if she would recommend the Six Month Reset Package – here’s what she said:
Yes, definitely. The health benefits are enormous – I had already started to learn about how food is medicine, but this programme has really given me the opportunity of putting everything into practise. And my partner has also gained – he joined in the new eating programme to support me. He’s now the Smoothie King and has gone from a ‘no-breakfast’ man to one who makes up our daily smoothies; has replaced his no-fat cottage cheese with home-made labneh; and has even learned to make kefir! We enjoy cooking up the recipes together and making up new ones based on what we’ve learned – we make a point of inventing one new recipe a week. It’s good fun!
